Guidelines for Advertising 1win in Nigeria

1win operates in Nigeria in full compliance with local laws. Our partners must adhere to these regulations too. The advertising guidelines are given below. Please read them and make sure promotional materials are approved by your personal manager before publication.

Advertising Requirements

Advertising Terms and Conditions. Make sure that the terms of promotions are described clearly and accurately to avoid misleading the audience regarding the provided services.

Use only truthful and verifiable information in advertisements. For example, if a specific prize amount is claimed, it must be supported by the promotion terms, the availability of a prize fund, and a real chance to win.

Promotional materials must not exaggerate the probability of winning or conceal the risks associated with gambling.

Gambling Presentation. Do not present betting or gaming as a way to earn income. The use of phrases such as "Earn Real Money" or "Get Rich With Real Cash" is prohibited.

Currency. Specify bonus and winnings amounts in Nigerian Naira: ₦ or NGN. 

Domain. Use only the domain 1win.ng in advertisements, otherwise, your clients will not be able to access the website.

Models. In promotional materials, use models with Nigerian appearances. This requirement also applies to AI-generated models. Using AI models depicting real individuals without their consent is prohibited.

Sexual Context. Exclude any sexual context from advertising materials. For example, promoting games like Rocket Queen or Spins Queen is prohibited. Placing logos or mentioning the brand in adult-oriented materials is not allowed, too.

News Format. Do not present advertisements in a news format. For example: «Breaking: Nigerians have a new earning opportunity».

Aggressive Calls to Action. Don’t use aggressive calls to action or create a sense of urgency. Examples include: "Hurry up!", "Drop Everything!", "Bet Before It’s Too Late!".

Audience Restrictions and Use of the Word «Win». The target audience must be 18 years or older. Advertising for sports betting can be intended for users of the entire country, and ads mentioning gambling activities must only focus on players in Oyo State.

Using the word «win» in promotional materials is considered gambling or lottery advertising. This restriction does not apply to the company logo or trademark.

Discrimination. Gender discrimination is prohibited in advertisements. Public disparagement of any individual or group of individuals, organization, profession, product, or commercial activity is not allowed. Comparative advertising is also prohibited.

Reviews and Recommendations. Only genuine reviews and recommendations from individuals related to the advertised services may be used.

Use of Disclaimer

Banner ads must include the tag «18+» and a call to play responsibly. When making your own creatives, be sure to add a disclaimer at the bottom of the image. The text must be readable and clearly visible. You can contact your personal manager for help with the application. All official promotional materials already include a disclaimer.

Example of a disclaimer: "Play responsibly 18+".

Use of Intellectual Property

When using images or their parts, take into account the fact that they can be protected with intellectual rights. In order not to violate them, firstly you need to get the permission of the owners.

Don’t Use Without Prior Agreement of the Right Holders:

• Copyrighted images. These include photos, illustrations, paintings, and other materials created by authors;
• Trademarks and logos. Using trademarks without the consent of the right holders can violate their rights for trademarks. It also applies to logos of sports leagues and teams; 
• Images of people. Publishing photo and video materials of people without their permission violates their rights to confidentiality and personal image;
• Works of art. In particular, images of sculptures, paintings, architectural objects, and other artistic objects;
• Musical compositions including lyrics and melodies.

Using AI-generated Materials 

If you use in the ads images and other materials generated with the AI, be sure to:

• Check if the AI-generated elements are copyrighted: text, background images, and others;
• Check the rights for using materials created with the AI. Some services can restrict commercial use of such content, or require to specify the authority; 
• Specify the reference for an original AI model or developer in the description or links to the materials; 
• Exclude controversial or offensive images that can be accidentally created with the AI.

Features of the Licensed Domain

• Registration on 1win.ng is only possible with Nigerian phone numbers, and verification is mandatory;
• If you register on 1win.ng, you cannot log into your account on other domains. Similarly, an account registered on another domain cannot be authorized on 1win.ng;
• When registering a gaming account on a licensed domain, only the local currency is available — Nigerian Naira;
• Income from the affiliate program is credited in dollars, so to withdraw earnings from the affiliate program, you need to link an account registered on another domain;
